Favorite Saturday Night Pizza

Ingredients

  • 1 pre-made (I use Boboli) Crust
  • 3/4 cup pizza sauce, homemade or from store
  • 1/2 lb spicy sausage
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 2 dozen pieces thin slice pepperoni
  • 1 grilled portabella mushroom
  • 1-2 roasted red peppers
  • 1/2 cup hot sliced banana peppers or jalapeno peppers
  • 1 cup 4 shredded 4 cheese blend (mozzarella, asiago, parmesan, provolone)
  • 1/4 cup grated cheese (parmesan and romano)

Instructions

  1. Pre-heat pizza stone in 425 degree oven
  2. Spread sauce on pre-made crust
  3. Saute onion and sausage and spread over sauce
  4. Place pepperoni on sausage
  5. Slice portabella and spread over meat
  6. Slice roasted peppers and spread on pizza
  7. Put hot peppers over everything
  8. Cover with shredded cheese
  9. Sprinkle grated cheese over everything
  10.  Put on hot pizza stone and bake for 20 minutes, until cheese melts nicely
  11.  Pour a nice glass of Cavit Merlot (or Quattro Vicariati or Cabernet)and savor while waiting for pizza to bake
  12.  Serve with a nice mixed salad….and more Cavit wine!”
