2 tbsp plus 2 tsp olive oil (plus extra to drizzle)
12 oz sirloin steak, cut in 1/2 inch strips
Garlic, salt and pepper
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
1 tsp sugar
1/4 -1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
1/4 -1/2 tsp salt
1 cup grated NY Sharp Cheddar Cheese
1 1/2 cup half and half
7 oz NY State Cheese Spread
2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
Hot or mild banana pepper rings
Instructions
Roll out pizza dough, place in 10-12 inch greased pizza pan. Brush with olive oil.
In large skillet over medium-high heat add 1 T olive oil. Add steak and sprinkle with garlic salt and pepper. Cook 4-6 minutes until browned but slightly pink. Remove to plate.
Add 1 T olive oil to same skillet and reduce heat to medium-low. Add onions and sprinkle with sugar. Cook, stirring occasionally,10-12 minutes.
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. In small saucepan over medium-low heat combine half and half with cheese spread. Heat, stirring until combined.
Top dough with cheese spread and 1/2 of shredded cheese. Top pizza with steak, onions, pepper flakes, remaining cheese, salt to taste and a drizzle of olive oil. Bake 20 minutes. Remove from oven and top with pepper rings and fresh parsley.
